what does it do and why is my computer flashing things at me and trying but not succeding to download anti-spywear stuff?
is this bad?

Oh, if you're just surfing the web and suddenly flashing windows pop up saying you need to download things, always always close them down! Don't ever click on popups, no matter how legit they sound, they're just like spam emails- unwanted tripe!

If you do think you have spyware on your pc, use spybot to get rid, it's free and easy to use.
