how to transfer virgin media emails to gmail

Please can someone explain very simply how i can transfer virgin media emails (in their folders) to gmail so i can close my virgin media account. Thank you

I don't think you can do that. You would have to forward the emails individually, or perhaps you could do it in batches.

Could you add both to an outlook account, then cut and paste them all into the gmail folders? Not sure if that would work but thought i'd throw out the idea. You might have to do it folder-by-folder but would save doing it email-by-email

you have to do it manually, but there are 3rd party programs you can download at your peril to do so.

google searches showed programmes you can use but i wondered if they were risky hence the question here. I dont want to risk losing the emails. Happy to pay for a risk free transfer!

You can open outlook and add your virgin account and Gmail account. Then copy the folders from virgin account to Gmail account, then delete the virgin account.

Do you have access to a Windows or Mac OS computer?

Download and install a program called mozilla thinderbird on your pc laptop or mac

Add in both your email accound

Goto old email inbox, select all messages (ctrl+a), right click and copy to gmail inbox

Then goto sent select all right click and copy to gmail sent

Repeat for all folders

It can take a few hours to download and then upload
