Has anyone else had their PC plug fuse? Ours fused about a week ago for the first time ever - we leave it plugged in all the time, even if the PC is turned off. The PC was turned off last night and the switch at the wall was off too. When I turned it on, the lights came on, but i went out of the room ana when I came back, it was completely off and when I moved the plug, it sparked! Does anyone else have experience of this?!!

Weird. I'd try a new power lead? On the belief that there may be a short in the cable? They're pretty easy to get, I think.

I'd worry that the fusing might damage the computer.

get a new lead... Dixons/Currys will rip you off for £10 for one of these...

Is this goes bang also then your problem is the power supply in the PC... this can also be replaced really easily for around £25 is required

thanks for the advice - I am going to get our computer-man to take a look at it as it fused again yesterday!

Get a surge protector for your PC, to stop any potential damage. Focus/B&Q sell them for about a tenner.
