what do i convert my mp4 files to, so that they play on my dvd player?

i've got about 40 video files that are in mp4 format (from mobile phone).

but my dvd player doesn't recognise this format when copied onto a disk.

ok.. now you are asking a good question...

Basically.. some DVD players can play raw MP4 or DiVX files put onto a DVD but others cannot...

What you need is a bit of software to re-encode and create the files in the correct format to then write to the DVD... NERO and other DVD writing software can do this...
