Can I back up pc files onto dvd?

Title says it all really! Do I need a special programme for it?

you can use any of the standard writing software provided by default with most PC's to copy you data to a DVD...

However....

,,, what are you actually trying to do??

1 - just copy some files (example My Documents)

or

2 - Backup your entire PC (Operating System, applications and My Documents)

to do the second one you will need some specialist software
