Well the Xmas rush must have died down by now & people have got used to their Wiis - SO what are the pros & cons ? Is it best to buy a package, what 'extras' do you need, what games are good & what games could be better ? Any good deals around ?
DS is 7 & there is me & DH who will be playing with it!

Oh boo ... was looking forward to red steel - looked great on the previews.

Oh btw... that remote charging station linked to on the argos deal - can you still charge the remotes on it if you have the protective jackets on?

A note of caution - DD (9) does not really like Wii games. She much prefers her DS Lite or PC games. She found Wii Sports too difficult.

On the other hand DS (13) is much more enthusiastic. Ravin Rabbids, Zelda, Mario Galazy are all hits. I like Tiger Woods Golf.

ATM DCs love Super mario galaxy.

Other favourites include the Ratatouille game, Ravin Rabbids (DS2 likes Happy Feet but it's quite a young game) Lego Star Wars

Wii Play and Sports come out on a regular basis still (had our Wii for a year)

Remote charger is great, stops us losing the damn wiimotes (and they do go on in the skins)

Shop around for accessories. I went to get an extra nunchuck yesterday - Game sells them for £17.99, Woolies (2 doors down) did them for £14.99.

Zelda pisses me off, I can't get the fishing to work.

Rayman Raving Rabbids is good, 1 more than 2.

Boogie is ok.

DS1 seems to like Cars.

Oh, and I like Guitar Heroes III, but it's a bit sad and cock-rock intensive.

Game are selling the Wii, Sports, remote and nunchuck, Wii Play (inc another remote) and a seperate nunchuck for £237

My parents got one on Wednesday - it is ace! It is literally plug and play too so you aren't faffing for hours setting it up

Where do you get the Mario stuff from?

PS - we just walked in to Game on the high street and came out with it, just so you know. You could ring your local store before travelling though
