wired earbuds for Android phone with easy to use and reliable pause button

Does such a thing exist ? I have an old Samsung phone ,I listen to drama and live radio a lot .I would so like to be able to pause or turn off when someone starts talking to me .
The earbuds I've bought work for a bit pausing then fail .As does the microphone .
Any recommendations ?
