Technology and Distraction - Apps/Websites to Block Certain Sites?

Any recommendations? Particularly on the computer. Are there any tools you would recommend which block access to sites like instagram, TikTok and YouTube but which allow your teen to use the computer for homework and revision? Thanks.

I can tell you how to edit the hosts file on the computer so that it will flatly refuse to connect to these sites if you like ?
It will involve editing a text file deep within the file system if youre comfortable doing that ?
