How to connect new laptop to internet????????

Mum has bought a new laptop as her PC 'died'. How does she connect it to the internet, please? She has an installation CD from her current ISP but it's asking for a password and she hasn't a clue. Dad dealt with all this kind of stuff but he died last year . Any help greatly appreciated.

If you dont know your password, you dont know your password. You need to contact your ISP I am afraid...

Hiya

You need to call your ISP and ask them what the password is - unless she knows - probably the name of the cat or something like that - does she have a password she regularly uses. Don't worry the ISP won't be phased at all by being asked. It's the commonest query they get
