I now have internet explorer 7 and it will only work if the firewall is off

Is this o.k or is it a trick. My son who is 11 somehow clicked to update it - I don't know how or when. Infact he denies it completly. He dosen't want to get in trouble.
Anyway after hours of tinkering I have discovered that it works only when the firewall is disabled.
Is this normal?

No. You probably need to make your firewall "allow" internet access on IE7. Which firewall are you using?

It is Panda / Titanium . How do I do that then?

Gosh, never even heard of it until you mentioned it, but I googled a bit, and sounds like it could be a problem with the firewall, rather than IE. See here.
