Ipod charging problems......can anyone help??

Ok....i seem to have problems with everything technical in this house, todays problem is my dds ipod....She connects it to the computer to charge it then says it is charging but when she takes it out to use it it then only lasts for a song or two....Anyone got any ideas, do you reckon the ipod has 'had' it then?? Thanks[smile}

have you googled ipod faults? a friend of mine did and managed to fix his quite easily?

The battery might have failed

Dd went on the apple fault thing and it didn't help, but hadnt thought of googling faults, will give it a go, thanks
If the battery has failed i presume the ipod is no good then....??
