Anyone playing this game? DP and I play it and i have to say that it's FAB!!!

I'm still practising by playing the actual game but DP plays online and i "assist" by shouting "THERE! THERE!!" when i spot an enemy.

Oh come on! There must be SOMEONE playing Call of Duty on here? Come on you gaming geeks! We should start a clan!!!

Yep. There is. Myself and DP have been splitting our time between Medieval 2 and Prey, while saving up for the Orange box... Played the demo for COD4 but I'm not convinced... I like shooting Nazis. I still think they should do a COD in the Korean war...

RGPargy · 31/01/2008 21:36

I think all the other CODs are in set during WW2.... ?

Unfortunately i dont get to play as often as i'd like as my 8 week old DD keeps me busy!

thought you meant Cod - couldn't work out what on earth you were on about!

RGPargy · 31/01/2008 21:38

LOL @ BIWI!!!

8 weeks old? Surprised you have any time.

We might pick it up when it drops in price a bit. Until then, we're still making our way thru Prey. And replaying the fun bits of COD2. And saving up for the Orange box.

Sorry, am I showing my nerdiness?

RGPargy · 01/02/2008 13:39

Well i only play it when she's gone to bed. More often than not tho, DP plays it and i'm just "assisting" lol.

You are deffo showing your nerdiness, yes especially as i have no idea what an Orange box is!!

The Orange box is a big compilation of games from the company Valve.

Rather good and (since it's been out for a while) hopefully dropping in price soon.

DP does that for me, helpfully pointing out unfriendly types with huge guns. She'll also take over, and i'll do the assisting, until we get to a scary bit. That's the point control usually gets handed back to me...

bodiddly · 01/02/2008 21:01

my dp plays this alllll the time!

RGPargy · 01/02/2008 21:04

Hmmm Orange box sounds quite interesting! How many games does it house and do you get to choose them? What sort of price is it?

PMSL @ scarey bits!! I have to admit that COD4 is a real adrenalin rush when you're playing it, especially when i'm brave enough to play, given that my operating skills aren't as smooth and sleek as DP's!

When you go to bed, do you have game visions in your eyelids?? The last couple of nights we've gone to bed and as soon as i close my eyes, i just see bullets whizzing around, desserts and baddies! DP even said the other night, on grabbing a drink to take up to bed, "I've got a gun" instead of "I've got a drink".

bodiddly - what's his username? I'll get DP to add him as a buddy or summat.

RGPargy · 01/02/2008 21:08

OP posts:
bodiddly · 01/02/2008 21:10

aaah he plays it on xbox .. he does have a ps3 but tbh he hardly uses it!

RGPargy · 01/02/2008 21:19

Ah ok, fair enough.

OP posts:
Kevlarhead · 04/02/2008 19:19

Orange Box contains

Half Life 2
Half Like 2 - Episode 1
Half Like 2 - Episode 2
Portal -
Team Fortress 2

and you can get it for the PS3. £37 tho (according to Amazon)

£26 for the PC, and I think I'll probably get it for DP's mother's day present. That's how she got CoD2...

And yes, I've had game dreams before... don't mix cheese and Quake...

RGPargy · 06/02/2008 22:54

lol I'll bear that warning in mind!
