Major Mental block - excell?? please help I am being so dim I just can't work out why[sad]

After finding out I have to re-write a whole assignment tonite for 9am tomorrow I am having a mental block

I have names accross the top
I have jobs down the side

I have values 1-4 in the table

I want a chart/graph with 1-4 on X axis, job name on Y axis and lots of coloured wiggly lines (ranging between 1 & 4) as the data

It keeps going up to 14 for some God only know reason

Please (pretty please) help me?

excel won't put job names on the y axis without faking it with text boxes

make a new column and number each job
then do chart type -> scatter
choose the one with

click the Series tab
delete everything that's in there

add series
name it Ann (first person)
x values = her column of 1-4 values
y values = the column of numbers you made for the jobs

add series
name it Bill
x values = his column of 1-4 values
y values = the column of numbers you made for the jobs

once you've done everyone hit Finish to create the chart

make text boxes with the nammes of the jobs over the numbers on the y axis

first para should read

"make a new column and number each job
then do chart type -> XY scatter
choose the one with wiggly lines"

Leave A1 blank.

Enter names at B1-E1

Enter jobs at A2 - A5

Enter values under their names e.g.B2-E5

You should have a "Chart Wizard" do it step by step through that then and it should turn into lots of wiggly lines.
