Does anyone know if there's any way of removing something from coming up on google searches?

because the Guardian misquoted me in an article about ten years ago and it still comes up as the second entry when you do a google search of my name, and I don't want that to be one of the first things people find out about me if they search

Can I get it de-listed? Should I ask the Guardian directly? Or do I just have to accept it?

sorry, i don't know of you can get it removed, but why don't you ask the Guardian directly? Perhaps they could issue some sort of retraction, and that would maybe come up first?

Thanks, but I don't think it could be a big enough deal to get a retraction, it just bugs me to be honest, most people would probably not give it a second thought, but it makes an assumption about me which just isn't me!

Surely they don't need to have dull articles going back ten years on the internet?!

It'll be the Guardian you need to speak to. Once it's gone from there it'll disappear from Google.
