What's gone wrong with my computer?

I have an outlook account.
Since loading my work e mails on to my home computer so that I can work for home, I have had SO many problems with the computer freezing, outlook closing, Edge freezing, etc. Literally, about every 20 minutes or so, something crashes.

Last night we ran a 'clean' programme and then turned the computer off, waited and restarted.

The problem has not disappeared.

I can't remove work e mails at the moment (my boss is away and I'm covering everything from home) but when he's back, I will do that and see if it rectifies the problem.

Is there anything else anyone can suggest in the meantime please? I've got another week of this 😫

TIA

are you using the Outlook app or are you logging into Office 365 in the browser and viewing outlook there?

I’m using the app

Try adding the account to mail for windows (assume you have win10/11), lot less functionality and delete the app.

tbh your employer should give you a PC that complies with their security policies... though it sounds like they haven't any.

Or just log into the web version. That should work better than the app

Does the computer work correctly when the outlook app isn’t running? (You many need to force quit it using task manager).

outlook well may not be this issue, just coincidence problems started at the same time as WFH.

Second suggestion of web app and work supplied pc.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I've removed the Outlook app and I'm running my personal e mails via the browser and it does, so far, appear to have solved the issue.

It might be too early to tell for sure though so watch this space 😁

I've had this issue at work, if you have two different accounts on the same PC, particularly an office 365 and an exchange account simultaneously that both have device management installed, it causes chaos, I eventually got the IT dept to change the settings to allow the accounts to work harmoniously.
