We're in the process of moving and DH booked an engineer on the proposed moving date (or thereabouts) to sort connection to our renovated property (old building, never had broadband to that house before).

Except that we are still waiting for our builders to finish off before we can move in. So, we are now without any WiFi so I cannot work, cannot print, cannot watch out Smart TV (apart from free view) and we are using up data like there's no tomorrow.

I phoned our providers (BT) and explained that we need another 4 weeks and they're not able to
Help in this situation (which I thought was a bit daft).
Mehta are my options here? Any ideas?

A rolling contract data sim - you can either use your phone as a hot-spot or for more robust use get a 4/5g router that you put the data sim in. I use them for work all the time in rural sites.

Thanks @handmademitlove.
Who do you get it with and what do you ask them for? Is it costly?

I have a mobile 4G hotspot from Vodafone - it's about £25 per month,

Can I stop the contract early? Is it just a matter of phoning my mobile
Phone provider?

Most providers do a rolling 30 day package so you are not tied in. You can either buy hardware and sim from the same provider as a package or buy a data sim and get the hardware from elsewhere.
