Oh help! Is it a memory stick problem or a stereo problem?

I've just spent the best part of two weeks putting 6 hours worth of music from my yoof onto a memory stick for a party next week. I've just had a listen to it on the stereo I'm going to use and it's sticking on track 5! I can get it to go back, but not forward. What to do? Is it the stick or the stereo does anyone think? I'm not good on technology tbh, I really wanted to put them all on a tape! You knew where you were when they were all on tape!

Can't you burn them onto CD?

I can. D'you think that would be safer? I was just trying to avoid having a embarrassing pause in the music whilst I change the CD!

what is the music system you are using??.. you have to be a little careful when doing this on some devices... for example.. the memory stick must be formated as fat32 and also some device do not support folders so all files may have to be in the root of the device
