Locked out of Facebook

My details were always saved to my phone for Facebook, meaning I never needed my password. Got a new phone, thought I had everything sorted wiped it, went to log on to Facebook and I don't remember the password.

I keep clicking 'try another way' but it won't give me any other options. I can't seem to find a support email for Facebook, I did find one but the email bounced back. Not that fussed not being able to get on it but I'd at least like to delete it if I can't even use it!

Any help would be appreciated 😊

It's linked to my Instagram but it's not accepting the password for it either 😪

Do you have access to your old phone or a backup of the old phone ?

If so go on the old phone / reload it’s backup and look for a password cache.

That may still fail if your phone was just permanently logged in as a recognised device, in which case you’re trapped with the password recovery process which will be difficult as the current you trying to get in could be a hacker impersonating you to get into an account or an old account

I followed that YouTube video but it wasn't giving me an option to get a code, I did reinstall the app again and try forgot my password and it is now saying that I have been texted a code but I'm not getting any texts. It seems to only be connected to my phone number and not my email address.

I think my account is probably gone for good! Annoying that I cant contact Facebook and even send a picture of my ID to get back on 😠
