How do I send an emoji on fb messenger on iPhone?

I’ve recently changed to iPhone. On my android phone I would click on the smiley face next to the text box and have the option of sending an emoji, but on my iPhone I just have the option to send stickers, gifs and sounds. How can I enable emojis? It’s an iPhone 13 mini, if that makes any difference. TIA

Yes but that’s the keyboard emojis, but in messenger on android you also have messenger emojis. But not on the iPhone?

i think you use keyboard emojis. iPhone has millions of them. What others would you need?

on Android I’d also have emojis here, not just stickers, gifs and sounds.

I find it somehow easier that way than swapping between text and emojis. Also don’t understand why it would be different 🤷‍♀️

Messenger for android is a different app to Messenger for iPhone. I don’t know why they’ve designed it differently, but hey.
