ipodnano problem...

I hope this is clear but I registered my ipod on my PC 3 years ago when I got it. This was at my mum's house as didn't have my own PC. Then I got my own and the other day managed to cancel account at my mum's and fix it up here (or so I thought). However cannot toggle any of my purchased songs from itunes onto ipod and it doesn't even say DEVICE down the left hand list or come up with pic of ipod when I plug it in.

Helpline was not helpful.

Any ideas anyone?!

When dp restalled our laptop i lost everything sorry if im the bearer of bad news!
it does tell you to back up on disc but i ran out of time after i had sorted all my itunes out!

No I didn't have anything on there, I deleted it all ages ago. But the stuff I have just bought to put on the ipod is backed up anyway, just can't get it on there. Basically I think the problem is that I have an itunes account but no ipod according to the PC.

have you re-dowloaded ipod stuff? tried it in different usb port?

Strange, when I turned PC on this morning, it appeared. Thanks for posting DD.
