I have posted this on a proper geeky internet forum, but it is a bit sluggish so I don't expect to get a reply before I want to start setting up.

You lot are much more helpful and rapid with your answers (please don't prove me wrong).

I have just brought an ethernet modem and a new PC (my USB modem isn't Vista compatible).

I have ordered a PC with an internal woreless card for future use, and looking at the pic for the back of my computer the wireless antenna is in the same place as the slot where the modem connection should be. I think looking at the installation picture that the socket was the wrong size (the small one, can't remember whether it is an RJ11 or RJ45).

I do have a "network connection" port thought which my ethernet cable fits into. This is the one with a pictur of 3 little computers 'networked'

Will this work?
Is this where it should go anyway?

(I know, I know I should have spent the money on a router, but the ethernet modem was cheaper.....)
