New phone about to arrive

Ok after many years I’ve just received my new iPhone 12. Been using a 5s for donkeys years and it’s given up the ghost.

I’m backed up to a new Mac, latest os.

I’m assuming I put the micro sim in and off I go.... anything else I need to know?

That's pretty much it. You sign in to your apple account and hey presto, your older iPhone is moved over to your new one. I've just gone from 11 to 13 and it asked me to keep the phones in close proximity while it transferred the extra data over.
5's may not have that feature (my DD's 6s did) but it is still very simple.

Remember to delete this data from your email when you transfer it to your new iPhone.

I guess you have set up the new iphone, but if not, this utube vid will walk you through the process. I think its the same for all models.

I love the swipe thingy lol. Dont be put off by the iphone 13 its the same process

Put my iPhone 12 next to my iPhone 7. It asks you to photo the code that comes up. There is a video showing you what you do. You will love the 12 after the 5. One advantage the battery lasts a lot longer.
