Google account disabled

Hi

I have received a few emails saying Google need to verify my age. If I follow the link it asks for photo idea or credit card. Is this a scam? I ignored them and now my account won't receive emails.

Thank you. Was just a bit nervous it was a scam and had the account for so long and am 49!
