Or is it best to get it unlocked before i flog, or is it already unlocked.

I am a complete means to an end mobileuser, and just think this is a complete waste of resources and money. I would have preffered a cheaper tarrif tbh.

anyhow, its a Motorazr v8. Worth alot as far as can see.

its sittingin its box, unwrpaeed etc.

what can i do with it. i could do with a few quid to pay the waterbill!!

DOes it have an Orange logo printed on it? If so it will be locked to Orange. If not it may be locked to Orange.

Orange are buggers for locking their phones to their network.

It will be usable on any orange tariff for definate.

I have always advertisedon ebay saying "brought for use on Orange" but I believew it can be unlocked.

pirategirl · 31/12/2007 20:46

ah so you have flogged zee phones b4 then?

OP posts:
SleighlyMadSanta · 31/12/2007 20:50

I havn't flogged Orange phones. Mine have always been O2 which are typically unlocked.

As I say though I always put a clause in saying I have been using on O2 and take no responsibility for use on other networks.

Mine go on ebay and I make a fortune every 12m

How much is a lot? I really need a new phone!
And am happy to have it on Orange payg as thats what i use now.

pirategirl · 31/12/2007 21:19

i am not sure what the definite going rate is for these. I saw some on ebay going with bids of just over a hundred with a few hrs to go.

I have yet to investigate what they sell for in shops.

if you find out let me know. I would be happy to selit, but as sleightlymadsanta says, I cannot take any responsibility for it onthe networks, altho if you are happy for it to stay as orage and as payg, then I think it should be fine.

Al i know is, it comes with a sim card, and you have to register it. lol. I will have a reccy and see how much they are.

It does seemto be rather posh, but what do i know . no t much!!

ok ( deep breath) they are £229 on the orange web site.

OP posts:
ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 31/12/2007 21:29

that is a huge price for a phone!!
I could possibly scrape together £100? Although thats probably not really enough.

SleighlyMadSanta · 31/12/2007 22:37

Best way to check ebay price is to check the completed listings....

Very dependant on hte phone model. I usually make £70+ for a phone that has had a years use. Not usually top top models either.

WendyWeber · 31/12/2007 22:43

For future ref, in green terms, have a look at greenmobile

(But I am pissed off with them, because they charge a fortune to use their service abroad, and make no use of your UK text allowance if you text abroad - just charge you 20p a time )

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 01/01/2008 00:14

Will look in on here tomorrow. If you could let me know a price you would be happy with.(Can't really go much over £100 though)

pirategirl · 01/01/2008 17:30

hiya, sorry not been on. I have put the phone on ebay just this minute, as am hoping to get as much as poss.

I have no idea if anyone will bid, hey ho, but will keep you posted if you would still be interested.

Sorry if it sounds a bit greedy, but I need the money.

pirategirl · 01/01/2008 17:35

OP posts:
ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 01/01/2008 17:36

Thats ok. Could possiblly go to £120 but really shouldn't lol!
I will go look on Ebay. Prefer to buy from someone on here than anybody!

pirategirl · 01/01/2008 17:40

here

OP posts:
pirategirl · 01/01/2008 17:43

i could do it for that if i change the buy it now and i'll sort it. would that work.?? £120 plus the delivery tho? As i have £2.40 ebay fees and of course paypal fees?

what do you think?

OP posts:
ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 01/01/2008 17:45

Right am watching it but see its Paypal only? I can only do Echeques on Paypal which take ages to clear! Don't have much money in there at the moment! lol!

pirategirl · 01/01/2008 17:45

um, what other ways could you do?

OP posts:
ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 01/01/2008 17:45

Ooh that would be good. I think you can end listings through Ebay and they drop the charges don't they?

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 01/01/2008 17:46

Only postal orders. Which can be crossed(ie a cheque) or uncrossed (cash in at po.)Which you probably know anyway lol!

pirategirl · 01/01/2008 17:57

if i did end it it wouldn't charge me, is that for certain. god i am a prat i just thought 100 was your limit.!!

OP posts:
ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 01/01/2008 17:58

Not 100% sure but i think there is a way. i will have a look.
