I'm a total novice at this computer thingy lark.
I got a digital camera for my birthday - video'd the kids openeing xmas stockings BUT haven't a clue how to burn it onto disc.
Have been trying with windows media player. But it doesn't seem to work on our DVDplayer - I am using DVD-R discs.

Am I using the wrong type?

HELP......

I have a program called Studio 8 that I use - it came free with our computer (about 5 years ago now!!) but it is really easy to use - you just upload the video footage onto the pc, then you can edit it (I edit out all the bits where I look awful for example!!) and then burn it to a disc. HTH

Some DVD players only play DVD+ discs - you might need to check your manual.

'colander' is right... you need some editting software and more importantly a firewire card for you PC to connect the camera...

I am not sure if 98SE will really support this functionality and also the PC may not have the guts to process this type of data (could take days instead of hours).....

If you do not have the right equipment maybe a local camera shop offers a service to do this for a fixed fee...
