Help please........ds got a new game for Christmas, loaded it onto our family desk top then updated the graphics card when prompted. Restarted it and all it does now is run a loop when it brings up the desk top for approx 10 secs then goes blank - rinse and repeat!

I need to remove the graphics card update but I don't have time to click on anything before it goes blank again!

I know there must be an easy fix but I'm pretty much computer illiterate!

Any ideas please?

You need to start the computer in safe mode - Google how to do this based on the make / model.. You may then need to sort out the graphics card. Do you have access to another computer?

If it’s Windows 10 or 11 try this:

support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-your-pc-in-safe-mode-in-windows-92c27cff-db89-8644-1ce4-b3e5e56fe234#WindowsVersion=Windows_10

For example pressing F4 or F5 during the start up, or holding the power button in a particular way.

Back with older versions of Windows there used to be a trick of holding down keys on the keyboard, or unplugging the keyboard to force an error message on startup and allowing you to choose safe mode without having to hit the right key combination at the right time
