My old paper white kindle needs replacing & I want something that I can use the Libby app on so I can borrow E books from the library for free. I have an old iPad that I have dug out of the cupboard as thought this might work perfectly as an E reader but after doing full factory re-set have established it's too old, now obsolete.
So, I'm contemplating buying a refurbished iPad mini. Main purpose would be as an E reader but would use to watch downloaded stuff when travelling. Definitely needs to be able to cope with the Libby app. Which the old iPad can't manage. I know nothing about tech stuff at all. Worried I'll get an outdated iPad mini that will only work for a short amount of time before also becoming obsolete. But the newer ones even when refurbished are too much money to justify when it's main use will be as an E reader.
Is the I pad mini 2 too old for this purpose? TIA
