We just got a laptop and have Office 2003 for the desktop. I've tried installing it on the laptop with no luck; it keeps coming up with error message and saying soemthing along the lines of it not being compatible. I've tried a google search but can't find anything concrete so I thought I'd ask the MN experts- cany anyone advise please? (Please note though that I'm rubbish with computers so go easy on me )
I'm desperately hoping it doesn't have to be Office 2007!

I've got Office 2003 on my laptop with Vista, it installed fine. I wonder if different versions of Vista are different?

Err, well, obviously they are, but I meant wrt to Office compatibility

Could be, I'm really not in the know though (pretty clueless actually) WE could probably do without it ass we mainly use the laptop for Internet and Email but it's nice to have Office as well

Well I use office 2000 with vista so I assume 2003 should work. I had to try a couple of times to install it though. I've had that with a couple of things and vista. It installs things when it wants as it sees fit!
