What do I get him? Budget around £100 but could stretch to a little more if its worth it. Doesn't need phone/internet capability.

Needs to be easy to update from outlook, appointments, contacts, that sort of thing.

have a look here this might be your best bet. The cheapest PDA I've seen is more like £150, but these look good value - check out the T&Cs since some are refurbished though.

Palm and HP iPaqs are good.

£150 is a bit much, especially if a refurb. This is only £60, does anyone know anything about it?

Ipaq H2210

Except it wasn't clear from Ebay at first, that it wasn't new... oh well...

The cheapest Palm comes out at about £80, what about that?

I don't know about Palms, sorry I have an Ipaq, but bump!

DingdongMaryBonhigh · 15/12/2007 12:11

OK, tell me about Ipaqs please - I am now leaning towards one of these. The 114, if I could find it in stock is £137+ (but I cant!).

I'm now considering Ebay, but there are so many models, I'm not sure what's current and what isn't without checking out every individual one against the HP website!

What are must-have features? What features aren't you bothered about

Oh lord, I don't really know about them in general - we have quite a high spec one (it was about £400 ) but it has Excel, Word etc on it.

I think your best bet is to go to PC World or Currys or wherever and get them to explain the features to you - and then see if you can get one cheaper online!
