ipod nano or ps portable?? which do I get

ok i have just upgraded my phone with virgin and get to choose a'free' gift - either a 4g ipod nano (new style) or a psp portable. Now i would love an ipod and was about to tick the box for one of those but my teenager says i HAVE to get the psp as it is sooo cool. What do I get, which is better? anybody have any opinions? i am not very techy but do love playing with gadgets but have never managed to download so much as a song onto my Sony ericson walkman phone (so i went for the camera one this time!). we have a ps2 which the kids play with a bit though tbh its the boy who plays it most

PSP IS cool, but what would you use most? YOU, not the children. I've just bought DS a Nano for Christmas, they are v cute.

Although - PSP is worth more than 4GB Nano (£130 vs £100) so you could just eBay it!

If you want to use the PSP for music...it's quite bulky to carry around, I've tried it! It can also play films, but as cut-down MP4s which you have to have the right software to convert, so if you have trouble downloading songs then you might be even worse with this!
If, however you would like to play games, then I would heartily recommend Lumines (puzzle game vaguely Tetris-like), Locoroco (wierd but fun), Daxter (adventure game, dh swears by it), Everybody's Golf, and Ridge Racer.

watching this with interest as my Virgin contract has ended so was thinking of upgrading! I initially thought, ooh goody, I can 'buy' DH his Christmas present (nano) by doing this, but am increasingly liking the thought of a psp for me!

ah madamy, the sales repwarned me i wouldn't get either free gift before xmas

i think i'll have the ipod as i have wanted one for ages but could never justify it

oh dear, may have to be the psp for me then ! I guess I'll have to get shopping for dh1
