Please help! Mums with websites, how often is your site down?

My site has been down pretty much from 10pm Monday nite. Apparently a sim dos attack, doesnt ring any bells and just fed up as it THE month to sell and obviously that is going to be difficult with no site!!

Any of you have had similar problems, have you ever moved hosts and what are the downfalls?

One deffo big downside for me would be that the company we use has designed the site plus know X cart inside out and dont want to piss them off BUT their hosting is crap! Shall I repoint ahh what to do?

In terms of friendliness, professionalism and knowledge, no one beats these guys. Run from the other sides of the world Aus/US but available nearly 24 hours a day.

Before then I was with at least 5 other hosts. I don't know what you are hosted with, but its worth asking these guys about migration, sometimes it can be real simple.

Thanks wildfish, fsnet is the host at moment through the company who done the site.

My worry is that now if anything needs changing it is just a phone call away and ok pricing but if I move the hosting away relations might be more tense and expensive but then hey ho need to have turnover to be able to pay mortgage!
