Oh thank you very much for your advice, I tried googling geeky stuff but couldn't find the website, then thought you might mean Mumsnet? So I hope someone can advise just so that I can show what I look like before the Christmas party.

Easy. Take a picture of whats on your mob. phone screen. Print it. then sellotape it onto your pc screen. No probs.

Any other geeky questions??

Camillathechicken · 24/11/2007 16:52

i did mean mumsnet, sorry, are you new?

Camillathechicken · 24/11/2007 16:52

PAN ! where have you been?

Pan · 24/11/2007 16:54

Hi Cam.

Have been doing lots of geeky research stuff, the benfit of which you can see!

Being doing RL stuff. Nice to be missed, though..

DanielJohnston · 24/11/2007 16:55

And the pc screen will put the picture onto the computer? It will read it I suppose, I have heard about it, I didn't realise all pc's could scan pictures like this. I don't know if mine has that facility but I shall try. Thank you.

DJ - if the sellotape doen't work, just use blu-tac.

DanielJohnston · 24/11/2007 16:58

Sorry to seem stupid, but how do I print the photo? My phone doesn't have a print option.

Well, take the piccie of your mobile phone with a digital camera, and print that off with a suitable printer, OR have it developed at a photo shop.

Then return to your pc screen, and blu-tac it onto the screen. If it's small enough you will still be able to see what's on the screen whilst also having your picci on the monitor as well.

This is obviously the non-techy way of doing it.

DanielJohnston · 24/11/2007 17:04

Why would I want to take a photo of my mobile phone though? I am a bit confused?

Daniel - I am not entirely sure that Pan is being 100% seriuos here....

RustyBear · 24/11/2007 17:05

or even serious...

DanielJohnston · 24/11/2007 17:07

Oh. That is a shame. Can anyone advice me please?

OP posts:
Pan · 24/11/2007 17:07

Because you want to put pictures on your computer from your mobile phone??

Are you reading this in the spirit in which I intended?? Please?

Camillathechicken · 24/11/2007 17:10

pan, it is lulumama, not cammelia, sorry ! i have had a confusing muppet name change .

RustyBear · 24/11/2007 17:10

Do you have any software and a cable that came with your phone? - if not you may have to buy a cable separately.
Unless you have Bluetooth.

Pan · 24/11/2007 17:10

Sorry DJ..I thought my lack of geekdom was plain.

I really hope some useful netter comes along......sorry.

RustyBear · 24/11/2007 17:12

lulu, if you insist on going around in that chicken costume, you're going to have to remember to tell people who you are when you greet them like an old friend.

Otherwise, you're just going to confuse them.

DanielJohnston · 24/11/2007 17:12

Oh Pan it's fine, I have been told to lighten up lots and you were being funny, yes, I do get the potential for funnyness.

I have a charger with my telephone.

oooh get you rusty ! you sounded all school marmish !

you can just click on my profile to ascertain my true identity, if there's any confusion!

RustyBear · 24/11/2007 17:18

Does this help?
I got a cable for mine (a Samsung) & it came with a disk with Samsung Studio software, which lets me move pictures between PC & phone through a Windows Explorer-type interface.

RustyBear · 24/11/2007 17:20

Just looked at your profile!
Tell DS I love his lego - very impressive

DanielJohnston · 24/11/2007 17:21

Thank you, I think I will draw something and put it on my profile, perhaps that will help?

DanielJohnston · 24/11/2007 17:29

Has it worked?
