what is that all about, I get a this message quite often and it tells me it's increasing it, or whatever....
when I look on my defragmenting thing it tells me there is plenty of diskspace,etc...so...what is causing it, is it a problem?
Can anyone help?

This is about RAM - memory, not disk space. I think it works like this: when the computer runs out of RAM, it writes the extra stuff temporarily to disk, in a space it calls "virtual memory". It is not actually memory, but it works as if it was. When that space is full, it automatically increases the diskspace reserved for writing memory, and tells you with the message "low virtual memory".

If you bought more RAM, the message would go away becasue the computer would no longer need to use virtual memory.

RAM...how do you buy more of it?
Also, can one not "delete" stuff of the RAM memory to create more space?

The computer's operating system (usually XP or Vista these days) takes care of deleting stuff from memory when it is no longer needed.

It is fairly straightforward to buy and install RAM, which is sold in places like PC World, but you have to buy the right kind. It might be best if you could ask a friendly computer consultant or shop to help you with more memory. We get loads of business cards through the door offering help with computers - those are the kind of people to contact. 1 GB of RAM costs about £40 - £50, and 1 hour of a consultant's time a bit less.

if you're still looking for memory, Crucial have a widget on their site that scans your computer, tells you how much you've got and how much you can put in.. ...it's also a lot cheap than PC world.. ...installing RAM is pretty easy.. ..like lego (but more expensive).
Crucial link here.
