Geeky stuff

Why is it that if I open MN in Firefox, I get a weird font and page layout?

It comes up with thin, widely spaced characters, and the colours over headings are replaced by coloured underlined characters. I find it really hard on the eyes.

In IE it's a nice, readable font.

Is just me, or am I missing some easy way of changing it?

not sure. Looks the same in FF and IE to me. I just tried in IE in case I was missing something I am running FF 2.x

Firefox updated itself to the latest version this morning. The only thing that has changed is to shrink the nasty font to about 8pt - headache material
