Buffering while watching All4

Any ideas?

We have a new smart TV and good internet/wifi. But we've been trying to watch a series on All4 recently and it's impossible - keeps stopping every few seconds, presumably for buffering.

We ended up watching the series on catch-up, but there's a series coming up that is only being shown via All4, so obviously want to avoid this.

Any ideas?

We don’t have any problems watching All4. It must be your internet surely?

I don't really see how it can be since this is the only platform it happens with. I have business broadband, which is supposed to be faster and more reliable (it does fall over, obviously, from time to time!).

However, we've only tried All4 a couple of times, so will have another go.

We have a terrible time watching channel 4 catch up. Always buffers or just gives up and crashes.

Never have the issue with netflix/amazon/Now. Actually sometimes we have to watch channel 4 via NOW.

No idea of the solution!

That’s really odd that it’s fine for everything else.
Have you tried it on your phone or iPad?

Maybe delete the app completely from the tv then reinstall. It’s the only thing I can think of?

We have buffering on C4 too - never with Netflix, Prime, etc.

Netflix and Prime are fine; iPlayer is very slow, but that's iPlayer! It never buffers though.

I have the same issue and it only applies to channel 4, everything else works perfectly! Any advice specific to c4 OD, would be very much appreciated. Thanks, H

I've had this exact same issue for over a year now and think I've just figured it out! I went into 'my apps', found all 4 and found an option for 'reinstall' so far has worked perfectly.

I have the same issues with ITVX. I can't seem to rectify it.
