Separating accounts on iPhone

A relative who I'm no longer in contact with used my iTunes account to download WhatsApp.

They've got in touch to ask for my password to update and frankly, it's more trouble than it's worth I give it.

How do I go about separating our phones? I don't want to bother with them and want to offer up instructions for them to get their things elsewhere. Help.

Contact Apple, apparently they are really helpful.
I'd suggest they set up their own Apple account, it's not hard and you don't need to add credit card details, and if you do, you can delete them quite quickly.

I had this. If they delete the app, then back up their phone so it forgets the app, then they can download it on their own account.

If you just delete it then reinstall it without doing the backup it just remembers it as being on your account and still asks fir your password details

If it's for games and things though, it will mean you lose all your progress. Just FYI

No, not for games. It's for them to reinstall or update their WhatsApp.

The person in question is saying that I need to handover my phone to them and a local shop to sort.

I don't want to do that. Thank you for your help and advice so far.

This person is unlikely to understand the whole concept of iTunes etc, but I do not want them having my phone or a 3rd party shop having my phone neither.

I'm getting text after text saying that they're going to lose everything off their phone.

My iTunes account was only ever used to download their WhatsApp. I really don't understand how they can lose everything g from their phone.

They can't. Unless they've somehow bought more things on your account? I would check your statement.

In my case there were apps linked to 2 accounts on the same phone
