I have several web sites tabbed , so when I 1st log in it takes some time to load.

If I choose to view one of those web sites and that has a link , if I open that link and then choose to close it , the whole explorer shuts down with a dialogue box saying an error has occurred. If I add another tab (I have 5 as set home page tabs) , it also shuts down. Ive googled to see if there are any known issues , but cant find anything.

Ive recently moved to BT Broadband with a V1.5 home hub (moved from wanadoo/orange) and it seems much worse now, BT say its nothing to do with them and I need to contact Microsoft.

Im aware it also cold be the laptop dying , as its got very little memory left.

I would be grateful for some help,as its extremely frustarting if in the middle of placing an order etc.

A couple of months ago I downlaoded exploer 7. It caused me so much grief with my security and outlook express than I took it off, Am now back no exploer 6.

You will have to speak with Microsoft , howver be aware it is a call centre NOT in UK.

stick with 6 !

Hi, probably not much help to you, but I'm running ie7 and don't have this problem.

So I don't think it's an intrinsic fault of the software iyswim.

Have you tried Firefox instead?
