Wi-Fi - are Caffe Nero having a larf?

I couldn't get in to a client's office this morning so went to Caffe Nero to work till it opened

MINIMUM £10 to use the internet

if my friendly local community cafe and pub can offer it free, how is that Nero has to charge so much?

No wonder you never see anyone working in there

(coffee was nice tho )

What a bloody cheek. Hotel wi-fi prices always shock me too.

DH works in telecoms and says they pay literally fractions of a penny to the providers.

CappuScreamO · 30/10/2007 12:49

no you have to pay to connect to their wi-fi on your laptop

it wouldn't let you in unless you signed in and paid with your debit card

can't believe anyone would actually pay that much

wow, thats outrageous really. for the price they charge for a coffee you'd expect it for free!
did you search for a free connection?

NotQuiteCockney · 30/10/2007 13:05

It's that t-mobile thing, I bet. They had it at a hotel I stayed at in Amsterdam, but I sat on the windowsill and found a free network ...

CappuScreamO · 30/10/2007 13:15

no I didn't clare

I got shouted on here for doing that once

skulks away quietly and disconnects from neighbours unsecured network

clarevoiant · 30/10/2007 13:42

only kidding, however we did use neighbours network when we first had wireless, however, he did know about it and half the street is on it
