My DS aged 8 is getting very upset as his friends are messaging each other and all have their own iTunes accounts etc. A few years ago we set him up with an old iPad of ours but it was logged in with my DH iTunes account. Over the last year or two he has purchased apps and extra things on Roblox etc so if he gets a new account he won’t have any of this will he?
I used to arrange with the parents times to FaceTime and then they played Roblox together but now the kids are just doing it themselves so now all my husbands devices are ringing when the kids are calling !!! He’s turned off the messaging on the iPad as he was getting the messages also on his phone.
Are kids aged 8 allowed to have accounts for this sort of thing? Does he need a sim to message? To me it doesn’t really matter what the username is etc but it’s a big deal to him and I suppose overtime all the stuff we’ve purchased won’t be on his account when he’s older?
