Could someone help please? I have just had my first spam email since changing ISP months ago

Where did it come from, and how can I get rid of them please? I used to get al those sh*t emails about viagra and weird links to stuff from people with odd names.
I had a huge deleted box full of them.

I thought things were finally clear but somehow, someone has started doing it again - I know it will be the first of many.

Is this a domain issue or is it personal, ie through sharing my details with some website or something?

Can I stop it before it starts, like a TPS thing for imnternet?

Don't take it personally - it's probably nothing you've done. The best thing is to delete it. If you try to filter these things, you end up filtering some good mail too.

Cloudmark does ok spam filtering.

Gmail accounts are very immune from spam, too - I think their filters are good.

Post your email addy and I'll send you an invite - I don't think you can just sign up.

(I have had one piece of spam on one of my gmail accounts, I think. But just one.)

(or ask anyone you know with a gmail account - they always have loads of invites)

Done. Let me know how you get on with it - I really like it, but it does take some getting used to.

You can just sign up for gmail now - I did it last weekend.

I like the way it lets you search mail, I always want to do that!

I will sit down later and figure out which account to use for friends and which for default/internet registration etc. as I am a numpty when it comes to this sort of thing...
