Can an old phone be fixed?

That had been water damaged, and has been left for around 2 years?
More importantly would it come back as factory mode as I only want it fixed for the photos I did not back up before it was damaged.

Possibly not but I guess you'd only find out when you took it somewhere to be looked at

From YouTube videos of MacBook repairs (welcome to my exciting evenings ) liquid damage means replacing the main board in the MacBook. Which can be done but as a repair it’s so expensive the customer buys a new model instead.

If the phone had a memory card separately to the SIM card, maybe the photos were stored on there?

Thank you for the replies, I had no luck trying to find if data gets wiped from liquid damage online, I guess it all depends on the phone itself, will take it to a repair shop - I was hoping for a bit of encouragement and hope that I could get some sentimental photos back Grin!
