I'm used to Samsung Galaxy and I guess that size isn't the be all and end all but it would be nice if the designers had thought about half the population for a moment.

Any recommendations? All I really care about is a decent camera.

I have a Galaxy S10e which is smaller than many current phones.

ForeverRedSkinhead · 22/10/2020 15:15

I have pixel 3a. Camera is amazing and it's on the smaller side.

I have a Samsung S10e and I love it but it's been discontinued now. Maybe check out the Samsung A20e, or Google Pixel 4a as they're similar sizes!

Use a pop socket it really helps.

IDontMindMarmite · 22/10/2020 19:16

How do they help @Anotherdayanotherdisappointmen?

@IDontMindMarmite They help you to hold onto the phone more easily, even if its a bit bigger. I can now hold my s20 with one hand which I couldn't before.

I have freakishly small hands and I have an an S9 which is just on the edge of being too big. I can hold it and text etc comfortably but if Im not paying attention it does tend to slide out of my hand.

Interesting, thank you @Anotherdayanotherdisappointmen

I used to find my Sony Xperia phones great for this, then mine broke and I've been using my husband's absolutely fucking huge Huawei P10 plus and it's so hard to use, plus doesn't fit in stupid women's jeans pockets. I don't know why Android can't grasp that a lot of (primarily) women want small phones.

star8 · 23/10/2020 12:17

Pop socket all the way.
Can hold huge phones with one hand. No worry of phone slipping out of hand and can use as a stand too when watching YouTube

IDontMindMarmite · 23/10/2020 12:30

You can't put your phone in your back jeans pocket with the pop socket on though can you.

Yes it folds down so it should be fine in your pocket. They're cheap too, only about £4 and I've moved mine around about 7 times and it still sticks perfectly.

IDontMindMarmite · 23/10/2020 18:58

Well well well, you're selling it to me!

I've purposely kept my iPhone 5, 2016, (not the new iPhone 5 which is bigger) as it is small. It fits in one hand, my back pocket and my bra. I love a small phone as when I need to just sit and browse for a long time I use my tablet.

I’ve only just changed my iPhone SE 2016 to the iPhone SE 2020 as my eyesight is deteriorating and can’t see a thing on it anymore.

I loved my SE 2016 and was gutted to have to change it.

I’m also gutted at having to pay £400 odd for the new one 🙄, but it’s a nice size. And I can see it 👀..

Oh and the new one can fit in my hand also.
