putting movies onto iPod Classic

DS2 has just bought an iPod Classic with his birthday money, and wants to upload movie/episode of Simpsons etc onto it. But do you think it will work??? Can't seem to click and drag as expected, and converting seems to be excessively slow. Help options and instructions not much help, DH nonplussed. Any ideas from the panel?

DS has started to buy South Park episodes direct from iTunes, but we have had no success with movies or other sources of video.

Our iPOD is sick atm - unhappy iPod face which apparently means a hardware failure.

you need to use some software to do the conversion..

If you are going to copy from DVD to files that you want to use on the iPod I would recommend AnyDVD and CloneDVDMobile

If he is trying to convert existing files.. this is a little more complex as it depends on the type of file he is converting from.. can you give more information..

I've converted things, and it's ok, but it does take forever.
