hiding e-mail address

My dd's teacher has suggested that I start her on Northern Lights. I have it, but lent it to my fil a few years ago. I have asked for it back several times, but no joy. They live about 150 miles away and are coming up next w/e. I want to e-mail him to remind him to bring the book, but I want to hide my e-mail address as we don't get on (my dh can't stand him, and can only bear his mum for a few minutes at a time!) Anyway, I don't really want to give either of them another means of getting hold of us - phone is quite enough. (We are very nice to them when they come, by the way.)

lemonaid · 12/10/2007 16:36

Open a hotmail account specially just for emailing him with?

belgo · 12/10/2007 16:37

yes set up a special email account for this.

CappuScreamO · 12/10/2007 16:40

why can't you just phone him?

if they are coming to see you you must at least speak

barnstaple · 16/10/2007 11:55

Partly because I don't want to talk to him more than I have to (he insulted me hugely last time we spoke), and partly because if I phone, the mil will answer, take a message and forget to give it to him, or if she remembers she'll forget which book it was, or she might even say something completely different to him - it depends how the conversation with her goes: she could end up telling him I want him to bring me a cutting from their garden as she doesn't listen to anything anyone says to her.

Thanks, I'll open the hotmail account.
