Internet Explorer won't work - but no connection problems?

Mysterious - I cannot display any pages in IE on my PC although it's not due to a connection problem...? If no-one knows, can anyone reccommend a good IT help site?

what's the error?
how do you know it's not a conn problem?

ah you say ie so i assume you have something else

i had this ie didn't work but firefox was fine, msn messenger, and could ping sites.
have you just installed IE7 by any chance?

Have restarted and also disconnected and reconnected modem at socket.

Am getting email but IE won't display any pages. Comes up with that test page and checks connection - says it's fine. I'm on the laptop which is wirelessly connected so know that's working OK.

Haven't just installed IE, it's been on for yonks.

Changed firewall? Changed anything?
