Sky Engineer

We're long term Sky customers (over 20 years) and we have an engineer coming tomorrow to sort us out with Sky Q. DH decided yesterday it was a good time to get new tv (old one over 10 years old).

My question is, will Sky engineer be happy to set this up ( we would pay him obviously), or is it not within his remit?

I've always found Sky engineers very helpful, but wouldn't want to embarrass him.

I'm sure they would - but surely it's just a matter of connecting the HDMI cable from the new Sky box to the new TV - I'd expect the engineer to do that anyway.

Thanks but actually he declined to do it. Apparently they're not allowed now.

If he didn't connect the box how does he know it works?

Sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear. He connected the new box to our old TV, but rules didn't allow him to lift new smart TV on to stand and connect it up.

I would say that sounds reasonable
