I have a Lexmark X1190 all in one printer/scanner, and have had it about 18mths i think, possibly 2 years.
It hasn't had a great deal of use, and has always worked fine until now.
I started college so brought 2 genuine Lexmark ink cartridges which cost me £30 and now printer isn't working.
Basically, it won't feed any paper through, and then the computer says it can't communicate with the printer, and the power light flashes.
I have tried different leads/cables, reinstalling software and various other things, and nothing works.
I googled the problem and found it mentioned various times on some website, so it appears to be a common problem.
My brother thinks I should ring Lexmark and see if they offer a solution ie new printer, or refund cost of cartridges at least, but how likely is this ?? I don't have time to mess about, I have assignments due soon and need to be able to print them and other bits and bobs out.
