Looking to purchase a webcam to use with desktop pc so my daughter can have online tutoring. Not sure how much I need to spend for something fairly decent or what one to go for. Will only really be used for around an hour a week for maths tuition.

Grateful for advice!

When we had a desktop PC we had a Logitech webcam, which worked for years.

I've put a link in below just to show the kinds of prices. The one below is on at PC World for 30 quid. You can spend loads if you wanted, but the one below shows what you can get for not a lot of money.

Thanks, I was looking at the Logitech ones. I did read reviews that this one doesn't work that well with Windows 10 (which is what we have on our PC) which has put me off!

I've got the Logitech C310 which is the next model up from this one and costs £50. Reports that it doesn't work with Windows 10 are rubbish. I suspect the reports that the C270 doesn't work with Windows 10 are also rubbish.

Also, it's always worth checking out the Logitech site for driver downloads for the hardware.

I've never had problems getting Logitech kit working with Windows. Their stuff is generally bulletproof that way.
