How do I stop my Sky + HD Box Initialising?

It's stuck in that mode and I also can't connect it to my broadband. Any ideas? Sooo frustrating. Sky aren't answering the phone at the moment. I have tried turning it all off and on again multiple times...

Press standby on your remote, switch off and unplug your box from the mains (or unplug cable from back of the box) for a few minutes, you should have no lights on, on the front of the box.

Plug back in at the mains. There should be a power light on the front. Don't do anything for about 5 minutes and then press the "Sky" button on the remote.

Our HD box used to get its pants in a twist and this worked. It also works for our Sky Q box.

For internet access, I plugged our Sky+ HD box in to the router using an Ethernet cable. Our Q box connects using wireless, but I needed to split the SSIDs on the router for 5ghz and 2.5ghz and it worked fine.

I also got this issue many time. I referred this guide Fix Sky box Initialising and restarted my sky box and viewing card following the steps.

Luckily it worked.
