Hello, might be being really stupid here, but when I click "Last 15 minutes" to see new messages, it says something like 106 topics, but I can only see up to the Chat category - are there more pages of discussions, or is that it? I can't seem to find a next page link or anything.

please help a daft girl with swimming pool water in her ears.

Click on 'active conversations' that way you get the last 60 threads that have been posted on. It's a rolling list IYSWIM, can be 2 hours long at 5am, or 5 minutes long at peak times.

Thanks Ms Candles! That's a big help.

Feel like a dunce, went back to work about five months ago and haven't been on MN for ages. Have just started working four days a week (hooray!) so have some time again. But have totally lost the thread of who's who and how it all works....

although the topics come up in alphabetical order Chat is last because it's listed as _Chat (no idea why!)

LittleMy34 · 28/09/2007 14:35

ah.....now it makes sense....
thank you!

Chat is _chat precisely so that it ends up at the bottom of the list. When we first started it, there was some concern that more serious stuff would get swamped with "mine's a white wine" etc, so we made it so that if went to the bottom - figuring that if anyone really wanted to see it they still could.

LittleMy34 · 28/09/2007 18:53

Good thinking - but for example, if I click 'last day' it says there are 200 discussions, but the page ends at the Childbirth category, and there are no subsequent pages.

Or am I being daft?

No, we are addressing that in our next update. basically there are about 10,000 messsages a day, so "last day" doesn't make sense any more. We'll have to replace it with something a little more selective. Are you trying to find something specific?

LittleMy34 · 28/09/2007 21:55

No, just wondered if there was something i wasn't getting about the whole thing!
